| AdminHistory | Vulcan Foundry Church of England Infants School was founded c. 1830 by the former Vulcan Foundry and became a three-way partnership between industry, church and local government. Fees were 2 pennies per week until the 1891 Elementary Education Act made elementary education free. The school was closed in 1981, as a result of falling numbers and the deteriorating fabric of the building, and pupils were transferred to Wargrave Junior School. |
