AdminHistoryThe early history of the school and its precursors is poorly documented. It is known that a 'village school' opened in Ormskirk Road, Rainford in 1825 and that the Rainford Coal Company Limited opened their school in Bushey Lane in 1877.

Sometime between 1918 and 1928 the name of the school changed to Bushey Lane Church of England School, after passing into the ownership of the Earl of Derby, who in turn leased it to the Rainford Parish Church of All Saints. The school closed in 1990.
