DescriptionAll men wearing either bowler hats or caps, white shirts and waistcoats, with many sporting a watch chain. Names of players unknown with the exception of Thomas Spruce Roby, director of John Roby Limited, Brassfounders Rainhill (man posing in the centre of photograph with arms folded). T.S. Roby lived for a while in Ashdown, Warrington Road, Rainhill which was built next door and had a large garden extending to Old Lane. Ashleigh was later demolished.
