| Description | Glass negatives in the same category as the "Other People's (OP) negatives at GE/8/1, but un-numbered by South Lancashire Newspapers. Numbers GE/8/2/1-79 appear to have all been taken by or with the camera of Walter A Jackson, as with GE/8/1/19- GE/8/1/556. Numbers GE/8/2/80-105 however were probably taken by George Lane (brother of John Lane of Newton-le-Willows, who was author of the 'History of Newton-in-Makerfield' between about 1900 and 1910. |
