| Description | The majority of the negatives taken by and for the South Lancashire Newspapers prior to 1965 were disposed of at that time, but a selection were retained. These were deemed to be of `historical value` and they were re-numbered, beginning with the prefix 'HV'. These negatives appear to date from the mid-1950s to 1965, but they also include some copy negatives of other photographs. The original number is shown in brackets, when known. |
